Project Outline
A DLA-004 crusher and screener requires a three-hopper discharge unit. The discharge unit is used to send three different grades of screened material to three different conveyers for processing. The discharge unit is fully assembled in the workshop and transported to the location using standard road transport. The use of a shipping container is required to protect the unit during shipping. Due to material build-up, no sharp corners are to be incorporated in the hopper design.
Brief
Design a fabricated hopper system for use with the DLA-004 screening and crushing unit. This hopper system is to be supplied fully assembled on site. Standard road transport will be used for delivery.
The individual hoppers must be able to be replaced with in the system without the need for excessive modifications. Each hopper must be capable of holding a volume of ? of material at any one time and must be sealed at either end with a 10mm rubber gasket. The feed size of the hopper is?. The discharge size of the hopper is 300mm x 300mm to allow connection to existing conveyers.
The frame of the system is for self-supporting and does not require the ability to support the DLA-004 unit. The discharge is required to be one meter from ground level. A supporting mass concrete base system will be constructed onsite to allow for a distance of one meter from ground level. These supporting mounts will be constructed in accordance to the design measurements provided by unit designer.
Clients engineer must sign off before Fabrication of the unit.

Design Parameters:
- Three hopper unit. Funnelling to a 300mm x 300mm square opening.
- A self-supporting strong frame is required
- Rubber gaskets (10mm) required on all connection points
- Unit must fit 20-foot x 8-foot shipping container (6m x 2.4m)
- Hopper ends must be protected during transport.
- Hopper unit must be site ready – (no assembly on site)
- Individual hoppers must be removable from frame if required.
- Radiused corners are required on the hopper design.
